In an interview this Thursday afternoon, 23, to the national press, the minister of integration and regional development, Waldez Goes, guaranteed that the government is prepared to help the population in cases of disastrous events, such as the floods in São Paulo and the drought in Rio Grande do Sul.
The minister explained that the guarantee stems from President Lula’s decision, right at the beginning of the calamity in São Paulo, to authorize the economic team of the federal administration to take measures in view of the need for provisional measures to deal with natural disasters.
“Everyone knows that the last government left 25 thousand reais from the disaster action line, and that the president made the first repair, endowing with more than half a billion that same line of disaster response”, remembered Waldez Goes.
The holder of the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development added that it is with the appropriation made by the president Lula that the government has been supporting Brazil, as in São Paulo, and tomorrow in Rio Grande do Sul, in favor of the three hundred municipalities that suffer from severe drought there, as well as other regions of the country that are in need.
