Minister Waldez presents priority actions for the first 100 days of Government – News of Brazil

The Minister of Integration and Regional Development, Waldez Góes, received, on Thursday (19), the Chief Minister of the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, Rui Costa. The meeting was intended to align the Ministry’s priority guidelines for the first 100 days of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s government. During the meeting, an action plan for the period was presented.
Topics related to the areas of protection and civil defense were dealt with; regional and territorial development; water security; and funds and financial instruments. The team from the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development detailed the actions likely to be implemented in the coming months, presented a diagnosis of the Ministry and collected observations of improvements in programs and public policies.
Minister Waldez Góes detailed the main points of the proposal. “We were able to enrich our contributions and point out priorities so that the deliveries of the first 100 days can happen. The plan will be improved and our focus is on having a Ministry that is close to society, that reduces regional inequalities and that prioritizes the poorest people in its public policies. This is President Lula’s proposal and we are going to work to implement it”, said minister Waldez Góes.
In turn, Minister Rui Costa emphasized the importance of the actions and programs of the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development for the Brazilian population. “Civil defense, water security and regional development are structural axes to put Brazil on a firm course of reconstruction and advancement. The work is just beginning and we are in a hurry to deliver actions that improve the lives of the population”, highlighted.
