Minister Alexandre Silveira (Mines and Energy) spoke about Brazil’s role in biofuel technology and the generation of clean, renewable electricity at a seminar on sustainability held this Thursday (20) in India.
The minister also defended the role of countries in the South in decarbonization.
Silveira will coordinate the energy working group in the G20 (group of the 20 largest economies in the world) when Brazil assumes the temporary presidency of the multilateral body, as of December 1, 2023.
The Indians, who currently coordinate the energy working group, have already shown interest in specifically understanding the Brazilian experience with biofuels, especially ethanol.
