Minister of the STF compares restriction of the State-owned Law to BC rules – 03/21/2023 – Panel
[ad_1]
A minister of the STF (Federal Supreme Court) makes a comparison about the quarantine imposed on politicians by the State-owned Law.
According to him, it makes no sense to maintain the restriction for state-owned companies, if, in the case of the presidency of the Central Bank, the chosen one can leave the financial market directly for the post.
The matter is on the Court’s agenda after the PC do B filed, in December last year, an action questioning the rule.
On March 10, Justice Ricardo Lewandowski, rapporteur for the action, cast his vote deeming the veto of the appointment of party leaders unconstitutional.
The following day, André Mendonça requested a review of the process, paralyzing the analysis in the virtual plenary. Lewandowski then granted an injunction and asked for consideration by the plenary.
The government of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) awaits the conclusion of the trial to submit political indications and finalize the assembly of his government.
