The Minister of the Institutional Security Office (GSI), General Amaro, will be asked by the Public Security Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, this Wednesday (24), about the images of the invasion of the Planalto Palace on January 8.

Amaro was summoned by the deputies, which prevents his refusal to attend, to explain the leaked images from the Planalto security cameras in which the former GSI minister, General Gonçalves Dias, appears supposedly facilitating the entry of demonstrators on January 8 . General Amaro’s summons request was approved by the commission’s plenary at the request of deputy Paulo Bilynkyj (PL-SP).

The records showed servants of the Institutional Security Office (GSI), including Minister Gonçalves Dias, guiding the demonstrators during the invasion of Planalto, in apparently mild weather.

The approval of the summons was marked by discussions in the plenary of the Commission, as well as the calls for the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, to appear once more in the Chamber to speak about the invasion of lands by the MST and Fake News, for supposedly having attributed to the CACs the sale of weapons to criminal factions.

Government deputies wanted Executive representatives to be invited to attend, not summoned, which prevents the possibility of refusal to attend. The session of the Public Safety Commission is scheduled for 2 pm.
