the federal deputy Dorinaldo Malafaia (PDT-AP) will be received this Tuesday, 28, at 6 pm, in Brasilia, by the Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, to discuss vaccination in Brazil due to the health crisis the country is going through with an abrupt drop in immunization coverage.
Malafaia, as he explained this Monday morning, the 27th, on the program ‘LuizMeloEntrevista’ (Diário FM 90.9), was called by Minister Nísia for having been the articulator of the Parliamentary Front in Defense of the Vaccine, in the Federal Chamber. The deputy also has the history of being known as the ‘vaccine guy’ due to his good performance at the head of the Superintendence of Health Surveillance in Amapá, during the pandemic.
On the radio program, the parliamentarian showed that the Ministry of Health is in a major mobilization in defense of the vaccine, to recover the immunization process of the Brazilian population, and that the Parliamentary Front is recognized by the body as the main ally in the efforts now developed.
The federal deputy said that dealing with vaccine inequality is a fundamental issue, because Brazil has a well-structured industrial park that needs to have autonomy in the production of immunizers. “So, we realized that it is strategic for the country to produce vaccines. It’s not just any subject; we need this”.
