The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, tests positive for covid-19. He felt unwell last night (25) and underwent testing. His health status is better today, despite the positive diagnosis, according to his advisor.

Due to the illness, his in-person participation in the G20 commitments in São Paulo, throughout the week, may be compromised. However, Haddad will preside over the meetings scheduled for February 28th and 29th virtually. There will be in-person appearances by the president of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto, and the executive secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Dario Durigan.

Minister Fernando Haddad will continue carrying out new tests and, in case of a negative diagnosis, he will be released to participate in person at the Ibirapuera Biennale, on the 28th and 29th.
