Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro attended the welcome dinner offered by the president of the PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, to the new parliamentarians of the acronym. The act was also an event in support of senator-elect Rogério Marinho (PL-RN), candidate for the presidency of the Senate.

During the meeting, Michelle made a video call with her husband, who is in the United States. According to participants, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) praised Marinho’s candidacy and wanted to motivate elected deputies and senators.

The elected parliamentarian amended criticism of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) Minister Alexandre de Moraes, and said that he could not campaign for Marinho as he wanted. Ferreira had social networks suspended by Moraes after encouraging anti-democratic acts.

During the call, still according to reports, Marinho said he expected Bolsonaro soon and that the former president was present in spirit. Bolsonaro has not responded when he returns to Brazil.

“[O Marinho] he spoke [a Bolsonaro] ‘we are waiting for you, president’. He did not answer. He said ‘Now it’s time to support you. Let’s win the election [para o Senado]'”, Senator Wellington Fagundes (PL-MT) told the press.

According to people who followed the call, the president called Michelle “my crush” and said she was the most important person in the meeting. The former first lady, on the other hand, said she misses him.

Upon arrival at dinner, held at a restaurant in the federal capital, Michelle Bolsonaro said that the former president “is resting”. Bolsonaro has been in the United States since the day before the inauguration of her successor, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

On the way out, the former first lady declined to give details about the video call. “He said he loves me,” she joked, when asked about the conversation.

Valdemar, according to reports, also joked that the former first lady will be a candidate for the presidency of the Republic in the next elections. Michelle just smiled.

Upon arrival at dinner, Marinho told the press that he would be able to beat Pacheco if the election were held on Monday. The candidate said he has a good relationship with many senators with whom he lived when he was a federal deputy and minister.

“We have had an advantage. I believe that more than 30 senators have been federal deputies with us in the last 12 years. And the fact that I have been a minister has also given me a very great relationship within parliament. This has facilitated our conversation”, he said. .

Marinho also stated that he and Senator Eduardo Girão (Podemos-CE), who is also a candidate for the presidency of the Senate, will be together in an eventual second round. To win the contest, you need to get 41 votes in the first or second round.
