Members of the CPMI of January 8 will meet with Moraes, says Maia

The president of the CPMI on January 8, deputy Arthur Maia (União Brasil-BA), stated that members of the collegiate will meet next Tuesday (13) with the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes. The magistrate is the rapporteur for actions involving acts of vandalism against the headquarters of the Three Powers, in Brasília.

“This hearing has already been scheduled, it has the purpose precisely of talking to the minister about the investigation that the Supreme Court has already been carrying out in relation to the acts of January 8 and more than that, this investigation of anti-democratic actions is already three years old. ”, said Maia this Friday (9) in an interview with GloboNews.

The collegiate must deal with requests for access and sharing of investigations and documents that are confidential within the scope of the Court. On Tuesday (6), Maia said that at the next deliberative meeting of the CPMI, next week, more than 200 summons requests, invitations and requests for information will be voted on, precisely excluding those that are confidential in the STF, informed the Senate Agency.

This week, the CPMI of January 8 approved, by 18 votes to 12, the work plan presented by the rapporteur, senator Eliziane Gama (PSD-MA). The senator defined eight lines of investigation, to be initiated by possible financiers and perpetrators of acts prior to the attacks on the headquarters of the Three Powers.
