The mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), has lined up religious events on his agenda. The emedebista intends to run for re-election in 2024 and should have federal deputies Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) and Tabata Amaral (PSB) as opponents.
Since the beginning of May, Nunes has participated in events and meetings of churches of various religions. During the period, he was at Expocatólica, at Unasp (Adventist University Center), at Associação Morumbi de Integração Social at Igreja Batista do Morumbi and at a service at the Assembly of God – Ministério Ferreira, in addition to having given an interview to Gospel FM radio, from the Church Reborn in Christ.
During this period, he met with Lisânias Moura, pastor and president of the Baptist Church of Morumbi, Dom Odilo Scherer, Archbishop of São Paulo, Father Julio Lancellotti, of the Pastoral do Povo da Rua, apostle Estevam Hernandes, founder of the Renascer em Cristo Church and president of the Marcha para Jesus, apostle César Augusto, general coordinator of the Fonte da Vida Church, Dom Algacir Munhak, bishop of the Diocese of São Miguel Paulista, among other priests, bishops and pastors.
One of the main supporters of Nunes’ strategy to approach religious people is councilor Isac Félix, municipal president of the PL, who had been defending his party’s support for the mayor of São Paulo and not for Ricardo Salles (PL), who withdrew from the race .
