Nísia Trindade announced more than R$220 million in resources for cities in Amazonas

Manaus (AM) – The mayor of Borba, Simão Peixoto, participated, this Monday (16), in the meeting of mayors with the Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, which took place at the headquarters of the Superintendency of the Manaus Free Zone (Suframa), south zone of Manaus. On the occasion, the minister announced resources that will be sent to municipalities to combat the extreme drought that is ravaging Amazonas.

Simão Peixoto was part of the group of managers, through the Associação Amazonenses dos Municípios (AAM).

“We are with all the mayors of Amazonas, the (federal) bench, to discuss important issues for the state and the municipality of Borba with the Minister of Health. Minister Nísia brought many proposals for the state of Amazonas. We are facing this drought, which has left the municipality of Borba and all municipalities in a state of public calamity; and at this moment we are asking for resources so that we can solve these problems that have been plaguing the state of Amazonas”,

said Simon.

In Manaus, the Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, announced R$224.3 million to Amazonas city halls for actions to combat the drought.
