The mayor Antonio Furlan launched this Wednesday afternoon, the 3rd, in the Senac auditorium, the Inova Macapá Program with the objective of stimulating new models of startups and small and medium-sized companies, and creating new business opportunities through tax incentives.
The program involves companies from various areas, including science and technology, health, education, sustainability, urban mobility and government digital transformation. The municipal secretary for economic development, work and innovation, Marciane Santo, in the morning, on the radio, informed that her portfolio has been doing very interesting work on legislation, on improving the business environment to favor the creation, implementation and maintenance of these companies technology-based.
The holder of Semtradi recalled that the legal framework for startups already exists, which is a federal law of 2021, and that Mayor Furlan is the author, by the municipal public authorities, of Complementary Law 156 of 2022, which precisely created the program, which is transversal, working to encourage innovative entrepreneurship within universities and science and technology institutions, so that academics can also develop innovative businesses to even solve local problems.
“In the first article of the Complementary Law, which is the legal framework of the startup, it is even foreseen the bidding and contracting of innovative solutions by the public administration itself. So, the mayor had a complete look at this law, to encourage new business within gyms, the ICPs, and allow them to have tax incentives. This is certainly the great attraction of the program, where there is a reduction in the tax rate on services of any nature for companies that qualify as innovative companies”explained the secretary.
