This Monday, (27), the mayor of Santana, Bala Rocha, met with the Minister Waldez Góes, in Brasilia. The meeting was attended by the president of the Santana City Council, Josivaldo Abrantes, and the federal deputy Josenildo Abrantes.
Bala Rocha discussed new investments in the municipality’s infrastructure, in addition to equipment for açaí churns, flour mills and sterndrive engines.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the emergency situation, declared in Santana, due to the damage caused by the drought.
According to the report issued by the Crisis Committee of the Government of Amapá, eight municipalities have impaired air quality, reaching the classification of “bad” The “terrible”.
Among the urgent needs is humanitarian aid for families who survive from artisanal fishing and for other workers affected by the drought. Therefore, support from the Federal Government is essential for the supply of food and drinking water to the population.
