MANAGEMENT

Graduated in social communication with specialization in advertising and marketing

Manaus (AM) – The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida, appointed, last Thursday (11), the publicist Dermi Rayol to take on the position of secretary of Women, Social Assistance and Citizenship (Semasc), replacing Eduardo Lucas da Silva, who was ahead of the department for one year and eight months. The appointment decree was published in edition 5,803 of the Official Gazette of the Municipality (DOM).

Graduated in social communications with a degree in advertising and marketing, she has an MBA in political communications and has extensive experience in marketing campaigns. According to the new secretary, academic training must be a differentiator for her management, which will intensify efforts to disseminate information to the population who need access to basic rights.

“With this perspective on communication and advertising, I understand that we need to act more and more so that the work we do reaches those who really need it. As much as what is already carried out by the secretariat on a daily basis, access to information is essential so that socially vulnerable families in our city are fully aware of their rights and how the city hall can act on their demands”, highlighted.

Semasc

At the helm of Semasc, Dermi Rayol will be in charge of the development and execution of Social Assistance, Women’s, Food and Nutritional Security and Human Rights policies in the municipality of Manaus.

Currently, the secretariat manages more than one hundred public service units, including Social Assistance Reference Centers (Cras), Specialized Social Assistance Reference Centers (Creas), Community Kitchens, Popular Restaurants, Pratos do Povo, Casas Cidadãs, Centro Reference Center for Women’s Rights (CRDM), shelters for homeless people, institutional shelter services, among others.
