The former aide-de-camp of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, must testify to the CPI of the January 8 acts installed in the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District. The president of the collegiate, the district deputy Chico Vigilante (PT), said this Monday (21) that the military will be heard as a witness. The hearing is scheduled for Thursday (24), at 10 am.
“The presence of Mauro Cid, lieutenant colonel and former aide of former President Jair Bolsonaro, is confirmed, as a witness, next Thursday (24), at the CPI on Anti-Democratic Acts, at 10 am, in the plenary of the Legislative Chamber of the DF”, said the deputy in the social media.
In June, the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes authorized the testimony and determined that Cid will be able to exercise the right to silence and not respond to questions that may incriminate him.
Last month, the soldier was silent during his testimony to the CPMI on January 8, held at the National Congress. The lieutenant colonel has been arrested since May 3 by order of Moraes on the charge of defrauding Bolsonaro’s vaccination card and that of his family members.
