Corinthians was winning the match when the game was interrupted
Corinthians and Santos faced each other last Wednesday (21) for the 11th round of the Brazilian Championship, but the match was marked by the interruption of the game in the 41st minute of the second half due to the lack of security in Vila Belmiro.
With the score 2-0 for Corinthians, the Santos fans started shooting flares towards the lawn, in the area where Corinthians goalkeeper Cássio was.
The referee Leandro Pedro Vuaden decided to end the match when he noticed that the fans continued with this attitude. The police had to reinforce the security of the players on the lawn, but even so, the fans threw objects towards the field.
Corinthians took the lead with goals from Yuri Alberto and Ruan Oliveira in the first half.
