The Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, was discharged this Wednesday morning (10). She had been hospitalized since last Saturday at InCor (Instituto do Coração), in São Paulo, with a picture of Covid-19 and sinusitis.
The flu-like symptoms, such as cough and runny nose, prompted her to go to the hospital as a precaution. The minister was assisted by cardiologist Sergio Timerman, infectologist Tania Strabelli and pulmonologist Carlos de Carvalho, who signed the medical discharge.
The disease did not affect the lungs, and the tests remained stable during the period, according to the hospital.
“As the patient has a complete vaccination schedule for Covid-19, this contributed to the health condition being controlled. Thus, she is discharged to remain at home at home”, says the InCor medical bulletin.
According to InCor, linked to the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP, Marina will be able to return to work next week.
On Tuesday night (9), the minister mourned the death of Rita Lee at the age of 75, in a post on Twitter.
“In Caetano’s words, it was the most complete translation of São Paulo, the multifaceted metropolis, at the same time, traditional and modern.”
“I discovered in her biography another singular coincidence: her mother wanted her to be a nun (imagine, Rita Lee a nun!), but she, of course, didn’t want to. With me it was the opposite: I dreamed of being a nun, my mother didn’t like idea”, wrote the minister.
