Maria do Rosário is a pre-candidate for mayor of Porto Alegre

Federal deputy Maria do Rosário (PT-RS) was chosen by the PT as a pre-candidate for mayor of Porto Alegre (RS). She confirmed her nomination in the 2024 municipal elections on the social network.
“Yesterday the PT of Porto Alegre, unanimously, presented my name to represent, together with the leadership, the party, the negotiations to build the unity of the left and the progressive camp in our city. I welcome this task with great pride and dedication, of rebuilding a future of hope and dignity for our city”, highlighted Rosário.
According to the management of the PT in Porto Alegre, the party will intensify conversations inside and outside the party federation, which includes the PCdoB and the PV, to seek the formation of a coalition of parties for the dispute in 2024.
The negotiations aim for alliances with the PSOL/Rede federation. The party is also seeking political conversations with the PDT and PSB.
