Senator Astronauta Marcos Pontes (PL-SP) appointed two members of the foundation he created and which bears his name to his office in the Senate.
Eduardo Mangiolardo Mariño, CFO, and Edmo Viana Gomes, member of the fiscal council of the Marcos Pontes Foundation, were appointed to positions as junior parliamentary assistants, with gross monthly remuneration of BRL 5,888, according to the March pay statement.
The foundation’s activities are focused on publicizing events with the participation of Marcos Pontes and also on the history of the current senator as an astronaut.
The Panel showed that Pontes appointed his partner, Christiane Gonçalves Corrêa, as head of his office, with a gross salary of BRL 22,943.
They share the command of the Marcos Pontes Tourism de Aventura Agency, which is defined before the Board of Trade of the State of São Paulo as a travel company, organization of fairs, congresses, exhibitions and parties.
The congressman’s press office stated that Mariño and Gomes are not remunerated for their work at the foundation.
