Do Val also confirmed that he warned STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes about the plan. According to the senator’s report, Silveira’s idea, presented to Do Val and Bolsonaro at the meeting, included recording Moraes in search of compromising statements from the minister.

The parliamentarian also stated that he was not coerced by Bolsonaro, who would have remained silent during the meeting with Silveira.

According to the capixaba senator, when trying to convince him, Silveira would have stated that the act would be “a mission that would save Brazil”. Do Val said he would consider the proposal, which he later rejected. Bolsonaro would have remained silent at the meeting, according to Do Val.

Unlike what he said earlier, Do Val said that Silveira tried to manipulate Bolsonaro so that, with the senator’s participation, the coup d’état could be carried out.

“What was clear was Silveira trying to find a new way of not being arrested again, since he was not complying with all of Moraes’ decisions”, completed Do Val.
