Manchester United and Bayern Munich are “run over” at home

English giants Manchester United were humiliated by modest Bournemouth at Old Trafford. This Saturday (9), Erik Ten Hag’s team lost 3-0 in a Premier League game, with goals from Solanke, Billing and Senesi. Internet users did not forgive the Red Devils and joked that the club was “over”.

With the defeat, the club remained at 17 points, in 6th place in the table and could still be overtaken by other opponents in the round. In recent years, Manchester United has accumulated failures and bad campaigns. The club’s last major title was the Europa League, won in the 2016/17 season.

Bundesliga

Bayern Munich’s first defeat of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season came in painful fashion. The Bavarian team was defeated by Eintracht Frankfurt, who beat their opponents 5-1, this Saturday (9), playing at home. Ebimbe (twice), Marmoush, Larsson and Knauff scored for the hosts, and Kimmich scored the only one for the visitors.

With the defeat, Bayern could see Bayer Leverkusen move six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. The Bavarians remain in second place, with 32 points, while Leverkusen have 35, and can reach 38 if they beat Stuttgart on Sunday – leaving them with a game more than Bayern. Eintracht is in seventh place, with 21 points.
