Adapted sessions offer families a comfortable and welcoming environment

Manaus (AM) — Cinépolis at Millennium Shopping will hold, this month, two inclusive sessions adapted for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other syndromes. On the 20th, the cinema will show the animation Kung Fu Panda 4 and, on the 27th, it is the turn of the national production Evidências do Amor.

Millennium Shopping’s marketing coordinator, Elizandra Xavier, highlights that the adapted sessions offer families a comfortable and welcoming environment. This is because they often leave social interaction aside for fear of how other people or the autistic person themselves will react during the trip.

“During the session, the sound volume is reduced, 50% of the lights remain on, and advertisements, commercials and trailers are not shown. Everything so that the experience is pleasant for all audiences”,

informs Elizandra.

Furthermore, people with ASD will be able to walk around the room, come and go whenever they wish, something not allowed in a conventional cinema session. The sessions will be identified with the global Autism Spectrum symbol, displayed at the entrance to the exhibition room.

The session will also be open to the public, who can purchase tickets at the cinema box office, on the G3 floor, or through the Ingressos.com website.
