In a balanced game with a lot of emotion, Sport Clube Macapá made its debut in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior with a 1-1 draw against Vasco da Gama. The match took place at the Antônio Soares de Oliveira Stadium, in Guarulhos.
The first goal of the match was scored by Vasco, just over a minute into the first half, after a shot by Cruzmaltino full-back Vitor Manoel, and in a mistake by Macapá goalkeeper, Ronaldo, the ball ended up entering the goal. The first half still had chances for goals for both sides, but neither team found the net.
The second half started with few scoring opportunities for both teams, especially Vasco, who had most of the ball possession. Heading into the final minutes, Jeremias scored Macapá’s first goal in the history of the Copinha and left the score equal.
With this result, Vasco and Macapá add one point in Group 29. The leader is Flamengo (SP), who beat Potyguar (RN) 4-0, this Friday (05) and has three points.
The teams return to the field next Monday (8). Macapá faces Flamengo (SP), at 1 pm, and Vasco plays against Potyguar, at 3:15 pm. Both games will be played at Ninho do Corvo.
