Macapá City Hall announces construction of Nossa Senhora da Conceição Sports Complex – News of Brazil

This Monday (11), the mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan, signed a Service Order authorizing the construction of the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Sports Complex, in the Trem neighborhood. The Municipal Department of Works and Urban Infrastructure (Semob) will be the executor and supervisor of the activities.
The complex area is located in front of the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Parish. There are 10,898.51 square meters of area that will feature a multi-sports court; 14 kiosks; sand volleyball court; bathrooms and changing rooms.
Investment is R$ 4,331,540.15 from parliamentary amendment by deputy Vinícius Gurgel, plus compensation from the Municipal Treasury. The request is from councilor Nelson Souza.
“The Trem neighborhood community thanks you for your attention. This place has been deteriorated by time. With the intervention, children will have a safer place to have fun,” said resident Vitor Jaime.
The head of Semob, Cássio Cruz, commented on the growth of the capital. “What didn’t advance 30 years ago has evolved. Macapá is different because of the care and affection that the management has for the city. The numbers show the difference in infrastructure, squares, health, sports and education. We are going to advance much further.”
Vinícius Gurgel celebrated the announcement. “The structure of the old square is obsolete. With the resource and the municipal counterpart, the space will become modern. It will be another place of leisure and entertainment for Macapa families.”
For the Chief Executive, the city’s management work guarantees the reconstruction of the new Macapá. “It is the third intervention that the City Hall has carried out in this place. We built a tennis court with an amendment from Senator Davi Alcolumbre. With resources from the Treasury, we built the Turíbio Guimarães Sports Arena, made of synthetic grass. With this, it was possible to return with the Marcílio Dias World Cup, after two years. And this time, we came back to rebuild this postcard, the Sports Complex”, emphasizes Dr. Furlan.
