President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) received this Tuesday (25) a t-shirt autographed by players from Corinthian-Casuals FC, the English team that inspired the name of Corinthians, for which he supports.
The souvenir was delivered to the PT by the hands of the Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, and by the Minister of Human Rights, Silvio Almeida, who is the son of former goalkeeper Barbosinha. The athlete played for Timão in the 1960s.
In addition to the sporting symbolism, the fact that Almeida participated in the delivery is considered significant by Planalto assistants. Target of speculation that he may lose his position to the centrão, the minister fulfilled an agenda with Padilha and was invited to participate in the moment, in a gesture of proximity.
The T-shirt arrived in Padilha through PT militants Nei Bonfim and Willian Zanolli, from Olímpia, in the interior of São Paulo. This Tuesday, Corinthians will enter the field to dispute a vacancy in the Copa do Brasil against São Paulo.
