President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva should meet with at least six heads of government and state by the end of the first semester, with the aim of recovering Brazilian political capital in the international sphere. Lula’s first trip as President of the Republic was to Argentina and Uruguay.

This Monday (1/30), the president will receive the German Prime Minister and Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, at the Planalto Palace. The meeting takes place in the midst of negotiations for Mercosur to sign a trade agreement with the European Union or not. Other agendas, such as environmental protection and the risks of the extreme right, should also be addressed, according to information from Metrópoles.

In the first half of February, Lula should leave for the United States where he will meet with the American president, Joe Biden. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seeking a date for Lula to visit China in March. In the month of April, the PT should meet with the president of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo.
