The Secretary of Communication of the Presidency confirmed to the People’s Gazette, this Friday (31st), that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s (PT) trip to China was rescheduled for April 11th. The date was open to be agreed with the Chinese government after Lula postponed the visit that was scheduled for this week, and which had to be postponed after leaving to treat a case of bacterial bronchopneumonia last Friday (24).

Lula is expected to resume part of the agenda that was scheduled for this week, such as a meeting with President Xi Jinping, with Prime Minister Li Qiang, and with the president of the National People’s Assembly, Zhao Leji. The events are not yet confirmed, but the bilateral agendas involve issues related to trade, investments, reindustrialization, energy transition, climate change, cooperation agreements and peace.

There is also an expectation that Lula will go to Shanghai to visit the headquarters of the New Development Bank (NDB), known as Banco dos Brics, where former president Dilma Rousseff (PT) took over the presidency last Tuesday. (28).
