Lula releases new official photo as President of the Republic

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) released this Monday, 27, a new official photo as President of the Republic in his third term. In the image, the Chief Executive appears outside the Palácio da Alvorada, the official residence of the Presidency of the Republic, in Brasília, with the presidential sash on a sunny day. Lula wears a blue suit and a red tie.
The image was published on the president’s official Twitter account and, shortly thereafter, Lula updated his profile picture with the portrait. The new record of the Lula 3 government, taken by the official photographer of the president, Ricardo Stuckert, resembles the official image of former president Dilma Rousseff, when she took over the Presidency of the Republic in 2011.
The images of the heads of the Executive were also on display at the Planalto Palace, where the president dispatches daily. The gallery, however, was destroyed by vandals during the attacks on institutions in Brasilia on January 8 and has not yet been redone.
