The objective is to reinforce the country’s reconstruction discourse for an event celebrating the first 100 days of the PT administration
Brasilia DF) – President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva plans a marathon delivery of public works until April, when the new administration completes its first hundred days.
The travel agenda has been structured by the Chief of Staff and is intended to include the PT candidate at the launch of a public work in at least one state in each of the country’s five regions.
The first destination should be the Northeast, where the president will inaugurate, in Bahia, a housing complex of the federal program “Minha Casa, Minha Vida”.
Following what has been planned by the Planalto Palace, Lula should travel to the Southeast, North, South and, finally, the Midwest.
In a meeting with governors at the end of January, Lula asked each state to present three priority projects for the federal government to help finance.
According to data from the TCU (Tribunal de Contas da União), the country has 38.5% of public works paralyzed, which corresponds to an amount of R$ 27.2 billion.
The objective of the PT government is to try to make, in an event of the first 100 days of the new administration, a counterpoint to the four years of Jair Bolsonaro, with a speech to revive the Brazilian economy.
