President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) participates, this Friday (14th), in Beijing, in several official meetings as part of his trip to China, and the most awaited meeting by the government is with the Chinese leader of the communist party, Xi Jinping.
This morning, the two world leaders participate in a signing ceremony for more than 20 agreements between Brazil and China. According to the agenda, part of the meeting between the two will be recorded by the press. The remainder of the meeting will proceed behind closed doors.
The agreements include raising funds for works, cooperation in food security, space exploration and health, in addition to agribusiness.
Some meetings took place in the early hours of this Friday, according to the Brazilian time zone. The PT’s first meeting was with the president of State Grid, Zhang Zhigang, a Chinese electricity company that has investments in Brazil.
