Lula government exonerates 11 heads of indigenous health posts

The government of the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, dismissed this Monday (23), heads of 11 districts responsible for the health of indigenous communities. The change takes place two days after Lula traveled to Roraima due to complaints about the precarious situation of the Yanomami.

After visiting indigenous tribes, the President of the Republic used his social network to accuse the government of his predecessor Jair Bolsonaro of sponsoring the genocide of the Yanomami. “More than a humanitarian crisis, what I saw in Roraima was genocide. A premeditated crime against the Yanomami, committed by a government insensitive to the suffering of the Brazilian people.”

On Sunday (22), Bolsonaro reacted. Using his Telegram account, the former president who is in the United States said that the left is promoting “another farce”, despite all the images that circulated through the media and social networks. He listed 20 actions that would have been carried out during his term between 2020 and 2022 to serve the Yanomami population.

Senator Flavio Bolsonaro repeated his father and also used social networks to contest the accusations of abandonment of indigenous people in the past government.
