President Lula (PT) compared the suspects of hostility to the minister of the STF (Federal Supreme Court), Alexandre de Moraes, and his family to wild animals last Friday (14) at the Rome airport.

“We need to severely punish people who still transmit hatred, like the citizen who attacked Minister Alexandre de Moraes at the airport in Rome. Such a citizen is a wild animal, he is not a human being. The citizen may not agree with the person, but he doesn’t have to be aggressive. He doesn’t have to curse, he doesn’t have to be disrespectful,” he said.

Lula also associated the suspects with neo-fascism, defending the resumption of coexistence in a civilizing way and that people who do not behave in this way be eliminated.

“These people who were born into neo-fascism, put into practice in Brazil, have to be extirpated,” he said.

This Tuesday (18), the Federal Police carried out a search and seizure warrant at the residence of the couple Roberto Mantovani Filho and Andreia Munarão. The businessman testified on the same day.

According to attorney Ralph Tórtima Filho Mantovani, he denies having pushed or assaulted the son of minister Alexandre de Moraes and claims that he acted after his wife was disrespected. He says that there was no political motivation and that, in the midst of the misunderstanding, the family did not even know if they were people connected to the minister.

Realtor Alex Zanatta Bignotto, the businessman’s son-in-law, is also investigated and was the target of the search. Bignotto was heard by the PF on Sunday morning (16) and denied the accusation of offending the minister.

Justice Minister Flávio Dino came out in defense this Wednesday, on a social network, of the “proportionality” of the PF’s action when searching the suspects’ homes.

According to him, the measure, based on article 240 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, “is justified by the evidence of crimes already perpetrated”.

“Such indications are reinforced by the multiplicity of versions offered by the investigated. Regarding the proportionality of the measure, I emphasize that it is past time to naturalize absurdities. that are under legitimate investigation.”
