“Lula betrays Brazilians and squats for the richest”, says Bolsonaro

On social media, this Sunday (22), former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said that “Lula betrays Brazilians and cowers to the demands of the richest”. In the publication, Bolsonaro criticizes the PT government’s environmental policy and press coverage in relation to the Amazon.

“The hysteria of the media and activists of the past and who are silent today while the Amazon burns in flames reveals that it was never about the environment. Everything has always been about imposing a global agenda that will destroy the poorest and enrich the monopolies even more. The current Brazil gives up its sovereignty and becomes even more subject to the interests of the richest and most powerful nations”, wrote Bolsonaro on the social network X.

For the former president, the superpowers encourage the implementation of international goals linked to the environment, even knowing the risks they pose to the survival of the poorest countries.

“Countries have already shown that pure ESG (environmental, social and governance criteria) kills nations and the giants know this. They care little about the well-being of the humblest or preserving the environment. They impose identity agendas on the minds of the people while infiltrating their real interests from the other side. If he was wrong, they would have preserved their territories long ago. Their only interests are to impose and know how much they can suck and prevent others from growing”, added Bolsonaro.
