Lula against abortion was pure campaign fallacy to deceive voters

[ad_1]

Lula against abortion was pure campaign fallacy to deceive voters, especially Christians, who do not agree with the murder of unborn babies. It is enough to look at the first measures of the current government in the area of ”health” and the open declarations of its members against the preservation of intrauterine life.

A brief retrospective is inevitable. From 2019 to 2022, Brazil had a government that, like the vast majority of Brazilians, defended life.

This means that technical teams from the areas of health, education, women’s defense, family and human rights spent 4 years dedicated to creating or strengthening programs to encourage the prevention of unwanted pregnancies, in defense of life.

The Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights of the Bolsonoro government, with its various secretariats working to strengthen the family and in defense of children and adolescents, among other groups in society considered more vulnerable, developed numerous actions that, in the end, saved lives.

To name just a few, carried out in partnership with other ministries: a program focused on combating teenage pregnancy, against child erotization, a support network for women, pregnant women and babies, the family and responsible parenthood.

Unfortunately, the current management, which took over the government of Brazil on January 1, 2023, classifies defenseless lives, still being formed in the mother’s womb, as a heap of despicable cells. And he says that getting rid of the unplanned child is a “reproductive right” of women, as if killing were a contraceptive method.

defense of life

It’s hard to start the year talking about death (or encouraging death), but it’s impossible to turn a blind eye to Brazil’s rapid retreat in the defense of life. As this is one of the topics listed in the Convictions of the People’s Gazetteand making them known to the reader is one of the objectives of this column, I chose it as the subject of my first opinion video in 2023, after a vacation period.

Those who have followed me for a longer time know that this column is guided by the defense of life, the family, the dignity of the human person, the dignity of women, the defense of freedoms, respect for the Constitution, the rule of law, democracy, the education of quality and without ideological indoctrination among many other ethical, moral and legal issues that should govern all societies.

The Convictions of this newspaper, about to complete 104 years of existence, are published in a transparent way so that everyone knows what the People’s Gazette defend. If you have never accessed it, I suggest you browse the Convictions page by clicking here.

Lula government opens doors to abortion

In the video, published along with this article, I bring a summary of everything that the Lula government has already done in just three weeks, to pave the way for the legalization of abortion, something that, in the last days of the campaign, he swore up and down that did not defend.

I also remember that weeks before the second round, in a slip of honesty in an event for the most extremist militancy, then-candidate Lula spoke with all the letters that he supports, yes, the murder of babies in mothers’ wombs, claiming that it is a issue of “public health”.

“Nobody has to be ashamed. I don’t want a child. I’ll take care of not having a child.”

Lula, as a candidate in 2022 at a campaign event, referring to abortion and not to contraceptive methods.

Faced with the negative repercussions of the “faulty act”, in a confessional tone, he tried to turn to the TSE to ask for help. He got the blessing to prevent the truth from causing further damage to the electorate, especially Christians.

The opposing campaign, of the then candidate Bolsonaro, was prevented from using Lula’s speech to reveal his abortion stance. Anyone who mentioned what Lula had said, which was recorded on video, was accused by the Lula militia of spreading fake news.

Evidence that it was not fake news are being brought in day after day by the current government team. Minister revokes ordinance on abortion that made it easier to identify rape perpetrators and the Lula government withdraws Brazil from the international declaration against abortion are just two of the recent headlines in reports revealing the government’s intentions.

No wonder the National Confederation of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) issued the toughest note of repudiation in years, against the Lula government and its first acts in favor of abortion. And other entities, such as Abrajuc (Brazilian Association of Conservative Jurists), repudiated the Lula government’s decision to withdraw Brazil from the international declaration against abortion.

Pro-life actions of the Bolsonaro government

In the video published in this column, I also remember some of the many actions taken by the Bolsonaro government to prevent the spread and perpetuation of the culture of abortion, not just those already revoked by Minister Nísia Trindade or by President Lula himself.

I start with the first campaign prepared by the ministry of the now former minister and now senator Damares Alves (PL-DF). The target of much criticism and absurd outcry in the militant media and on the social networks of feminists and left-wing extremists, the campaign “Adolescence first, pregnancy later” was the subject of my debut column in People’s Gazettein January 2019.

To remember, watch here. For a comparison of what Bolsonaro’s pro-life government was and the initial pro-abortion acts of the Lula government, click on play on the image that illustrates this page.

It is an opportunity to remember how, for example, the person in charge of the National Family Secretariat, Ângela Gandra, from the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights, who toured the world when Brazil assumed leadership of the Genegra agreement, created by Trump to unite countries in favor of life and which was later abandoned by Biden.

I also bring the chance to recall the commitment of the former Secretary of Primary Health Care of the Ministry of Health, Raphael Câmara, who developed, together with his team, an absolutely technical ordinance to guide doctors not to perform a procedure to terminate pregnancy in women allegedly raped. , without the police registering the occurrence of the rape.

These were the first pro-life actions undone by the Lula government. Watch the video and then leave your reaction to the content and your comment to contribute to the debate.

I take this opportunity to wish, albeit belatedly, a year of health, serenity, wisdom, resilience, strength, focus and faith. It’s my combo for 2023. May we continue in search of the truth, believing and doing good. And may God bless our country and our struggle to defend life.
