Once again, the municipality of Cajamar will be the stage for the definition of new LFA champions. In its 154th edition, scheduled for the next 10th, in partnership with the local city hall, at the modern Polvilho gym, the event will put the middleweight and heavyweight belts up for grabs.
The main fight will be in charge of the middleweights Lucas Fernando and Jansey “Jones” Silva, two of the most dangerous strikers of the division in activity in Brazil. Packed by three consecutive victories in the LFA, Lucas Fernando has a record of eight victories in nine disputed fights, with four knockouts.
“I believe and trust that God has the best for me after this day (of the fight). I’m working hard and confident that I’ll get another knockout. my fun and profession”, declared Lucas Fernando.
On the other hand, Jansey “Jones”, with a record of eight wins – five of them by knockout – and two setbacks, arrives at the fight, according to himself, in his most mature version. It’s worth remembering that he even fought Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021, but ended up surpassed by Russian Gadzhi Omargadizhiev.
“It helped me grow as a person, taught me lessons that only a defeat can teach, that’s why I say that I arrive for this fight more mature and ready to take the belt home. I respect my opponent, I know he is also an excellent striker, so it has everything to be a spectacle”, believes Jansey.
The fight that precedes the welterweight bout is worth the heavyweight belt. The candidates are Eduardo “Bbzão” Neves and Hyago “BRT” Silva. While “Bbzão” won all six of his fights by knockout – and suffered one loss; “BRT” remains undefeated, with six wins – three knockouts and two submissions – and a draw.
This will be the LFA’s third event in Cajamar within four months. Sports enthusiast, Mayor Danilo Joan has been investing in the city as a martial arts center. LFA 154 will be broadcast live throughout Brazil and the rest of the world through the UFC Fight Pass platform.
