Legislative Assembly mediates meeting between teachers and Executive Branch

Another meeting will be scheduled with the Union, members of the Government, Seduc and Sefaz, says deputy Cabo Maciel

Manaus (AM) – This Thursday afternoon (18), the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam) mediated a meeting between state teachers and the Executive Branch to reach a denominator on the category’s claims. Conducted by the President of the House, Deputy Roberto Cidade (União Brasil), the meeting was attended by thirteen parliamentarians, the Secretary of Government, Sérgio Litaiff Filho and representatives of the Union of Workers in Education of the State of Amazonas (Sinteam) and the Association of Education Administrative Servants (Avamseg).

The president of Aleam’s Education Commission, Deputy Cabo Maciel (PL) highlighted the role of the Legislative Power and the conduct of the President of the House, Deputy Roberto Cidade (UB) in intermediating between the unions and the Government. “This House received representatives of the category. On Wednesday, we went to the Government Headquarters to meet and today the Executive reached a percentage of 8% for negotiation. The unions will take this proposal to the teachers. A meeting will also be scheduled with the Union and members of the Government, Seduc and Sefaz so that we can find out how it will be possible to advance even further on top of what is already being proposed ”, he explained.

Maciel reinforced the role of the Legislative Assembly and placed the State Parliament at the disposal of civil servants and the State Government. “The Assembly receives, opines, takes a position, gives ideas, and, with that, the guidelines move forward. We hope that the negotiations move forward and on Monday the strike will end ”, he evaluated.

The president of Sinteam, Ana Cristina Rodrigues, stressed that the category is willing to open negotiations and hopes that the law will be complied with. She added that the category assembly will take place on Monday, when the teachers’ decision will be taken.

In addition to president Roberto Cidade, the meeting was attended by deputies Cabo Maciel (PL), president of Aleam’s Education Commission; Felipe Souza (Patriot), leader of the Government: Alessandra Campêlo (PSC), Wilker Barreto (Citizenship), Dr. Gomes (PSC), Abdala Fraxe (Avante), Joana Darc (União Brasil), Rozenha (PMB), Mayra Dias (Avante), Débora Menezes (PL), Comandante Dan (PSC), Sinésio Campos (PT) and Mário César Filho (Brazil Union).
