Vice-president of the CPI of the MST, deputy Kim Kataguiri (União-SP) will file this Wednesday (16) a criminal notice with the Federal Public Ministry in the Federal District against the leader of the movement João Pedro Stedile for false testimony in his testimony at the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry.

The congressman argues that Stedile contradicted a woman who said she participated in a landless camp in the Federal District and was expelled by other members of the MST.

Questioned this Tuesday (15) at the CPI, the leader of the movement said he was unaware of the facts. However, according to Kataguiri, in an interview given on June 2 to the Flow podcast, Stedile had said he knew about this case and added that the landless woman expelled from the camp had engaged in “bad behavior”.

“If, before the CPI meeting on 8/15/2023, the deponent discussed the case in an interview, it is evident that he was aware of the facts. Nobody discusses something unknown”, says the lawsuit.

The deputy also says that if the MPF understands that there are no minimum elements to initiate criminal proceedings, the Federal Police should be asked to initiate a police inquiry or initiate a criminal investigation procedure.
