Justice accepted the complaint made by the Federal Public Ministry of Paraná (MPF-PR) and made defendants the 13 suspects of planning an attack against Senator Sergio Moro (União-PR). In March, the Federal Police launched Operation Sequaz, as a group linked to the PCC, a criminal faction that operates inside and outside prisons, intended to commit crimes such as homicides and extortion of targets through kidnapping in the Federal District and in the states of Paraná, São Paulo , Mato Grosso do Sul and Rondônia.

One of the targets was Moro, who was a former judge and former Minister of Justice, São Paulo prosecutor Lincoln Gakiya, and other authorities. Judge Sandra Regina Soares, from the 9th Federal Court of Curitiba, signed the decision on the 17th, but the document was released on Wednesday (31).

In the complaint, the MPF pointed to crimes such as attempted extortion through kidnapping, criminal organization and illegal possession of a firearm. The investigations showed that the accused monitored the steps of the senator and his wife, federal deputy Rosângela Moro (União Brasil-SP), including renting properties close to where they lived in Curitiba.
