The Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap) approved, on an urgent basis, a request from the chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Supply (CAB) of the House, Deputy Junior Favacho (MDB), requesting that a public hearing be held to discuss the “obstacles to the development of agribusiness in Amapá”.
For the debate, whose date will be defined shortly by the presidency of Alap, businessmen, public bodies and entities linked to the state’s agricultural sector will be invited.
According to the document presented by Junior Favacho, the public hearing will deal with important topics related to agribusiness in the state and that harm rural producers, such as the slowness in land regularization, the bureaucracy in the environmental licensing processes, and the infrastructure for storage and transport of inputs and production.
The deputy also added that the debate will be important so that society can discuss the public policies implemented for the first sector.
“Amapá is today a state that produces little, and this is mainly caused by the barriers faced daily by our rural producers. We need to find solutions to these obstacles, and this will only happen when public authorities are willing to listen to society and take serious measures that help unlock agribusiness. In this way we will generate jobs and income for the population, and the first sector will contribute decisively to the economic development of Amapá”he stated.
Junior Favacho recalled that part of the topics to be discussed at the hearing are already part of the frequent agenda of the Committee on Agriculture and Supply of Alap, whose premise is to listen and welcome the demands presented by rural producers. He cited the commission’s efforts to contribute to reducing the bureaucracy of environmental licensing processes in the state, and listed proposals presented by him to remedy this problem, which is one of the biggest obstacles in the development of the first sector.
“We are always willing to listen to entrepreneurs and family farming producers, and from this dialogue proposals such as Super Fácil do Agro are born, which would be the creation of a physical or virtual space containing all the bodies involved in the process of issuing environmental licenses. for those who want to produce in Amapá. This would make the process more agile, more efficient and less bureaucratic. It is ideas like this that we intend to achieve in this public hearing”concluded the parliamentarian.
