The first soy harvest in the municipality of Pedra Branca do Amapari, 188 kilometers from Macapá, was monitored by the Agriculture and Supply Commission (CAB) of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap). The commission’s chairman, state deputy Júnior Favacho (MDB), led the delegation. Accompanying the deputies were the mayor of the municipality, Beth Pelaes, local councilors and businessmen linked to the sector.
Inside the harvester’s cabin, guests had the opportunity to closely observe the entire grain harvesting process, understanding the essential precautions to perform this activity. It was possible to understand the importance of controlling humidity and regulating the speed of the machinery. This entire operation was conducted under the supervision of farm technicians, along with highly qualified employees.
Deputy Júnior Favacho emphasized that this first soybean harvest in the municipality marks the beginning of a new era for the state’s productive sector. This event symbolizes the recognition of the vital role of agribusiness in boosting development. The parliamentarian also praised leaders such as Mayor Beth Pelaes, who played an active role in issuing environmental licenses to rural producers interested in operating in the municipality.
“Mayor Beth Pelaes showed great courage in licensing the producers of Pedra Branca do Amapari, and today it is already possible to see the fruits of that act. It is essential that this approach be replicated in other cities and that the state government is committed to transforming Amapá into a production hub, taking full advantage of our primary sector resources. Only then will we be able to generate employment and income for our population, changing our reality”, declared Favacho.
Beth Pelaes reported that her administration is fully dedicated to the development of the agricultural sector. She expressed the desire that Pedra Branca do Amapari continue to attract new investments in this segment. “I feel great joy to be here at this unique moment, demonstrating our extraordinary potential. We have an environment department that has already issued licenses, and we hope this will serve as a stimulus for other entrepreneurs interested in investing here”.
