Journalist Claudia Collucci will be the coordinator of the 8th Science and Health Journalism Training Program, which is open for enrollment until July 19th.
In this year’s format, the course will be hybrid: two-thirds of the classes will be online and one-third will be face-to-face.
Participants will attend lectures by scientists who work in Brazil and abroad, physicians and public health specialists, as well as reporters and editors of the Sheet.
Special reporter for Folha, Claudia Collucci has a master’s degree in history of science and a postgraduate degree in health management. She has already received the most admired health, science and well-being journalist awards (Einstein Prize) and was awarded the Specialists Prize (Business Communication Magazine) for seven consecutive years.
He studied at the Universities of Michigan and Georgetown University, where he researched conflicts of interest in the healthcare industry. She has worked as a consultant and mentor on health journalism projects in Mozambique. She was a contributor to the British Medical Journal during the Zika epidemic.
The program is sponsored by Laboratorio Roche, Instituto Serrapilheira and Sociedade Beneficente Israelita Brasileira Albert Einstein.
The course will take place in September, from 7 pm to 10 pm. There are 15 vacancies, open to journalists and professionals from other areas throughout Brazil. The selection will be made through test, CV and interviews. Entries can be made here.
