Federal deputy Luciene Cavalcante (PSOL-SP) presented a crime report to the STF (Federal Supreme Court) against fellow parliamentarian Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), who, in a speech this Sunday (9), compared what he called “teachers indoctrinators” to drug traffickers.
The speech by the deputy, son of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), took place at a pro-gun event in Brasília.
“Take time to see what they are learning in schools. There will be no room for a doctrinaire teacher to try to kidnap our children. There is no difference between a doctrinaire teacher and a drug dealer who tries to kidnap our children into the world of crime Perhaps even the doctrinaire professor is even worse, because he will cause discord within your home, seeing oppression in all kinds of relationships”, said Eduardo.
In the piece, Cavalcante says that an “indoctrinating teacher” is one who “presents content in the classroom against hegemonic and plural, aiming at a critical and emancipatory education, that is, a divergent view of the deputy’s beliefs and understandings”.
The parliamentarian says that the speech constitutes “true hate speech against teachers” by inciting those present to intimidate them, “at an event promoting the carrying and possession of firearms, characterizing the crimes of incitement to crime, threat and illegal embarrassment”.
