Singer Jorge Aragão announced his diagnosis with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in July this year. The treatment will be completed in September

Jorge Aragão revealed, this Friday (27), that he is in complete remission from cancer. The singer had been treating the disease since July this year, when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The artist’s last treatment session will be on November 1st.

“The patient Jorge Aragão presents complete remission in the last exam carried out and is only missing the last cacicai, scheduled to be carried out on November 1st, to complete the treatment”, reported hematologist Caroline Rebello, who takes care of Jorge Aragão, in a statement released by the samba singer’s press office.

In addition to his cancer remission, the singer released a new version of Eu e Você Semper, released in the early 2000s. Semper Eu e Você, as the song was named, features a mix of rap and samba, but with previously unreleased excerpts. performed by Xamã and with the participation of Dalto Max.

Jorge Aragão has already resumed his show schedule

Under treatment for cancer, Jorge Aragão will resume his concert schedule. According to the singer’s advisors, he was cleared by doctors and will return to the stage at the beginning of August (6), at Parque Madureira, in the north of Rio de Janeiro.

The artist was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of disease that affects the lymphatic system, responsible for producing immune system cells. According to his team, Jorge responds well to the procedures and is being monitored at the hospital just as a precaution.
