Amapá continues to win medals at the Brazilian School Games (JEB’s) 2023, which are taking place in Brasília. This Sunday (29) a silver medal was won in adapted athletics and judo brought another medal, also silver.
The adapted athletics medal, in the long jump, came from Lívia Nascimento, from the Lima Neto State School, from Amapá. The judo medal came from athlete Alexandre La Cabanne, in the -64kg category, in the bronze series, from Escola Estadual José do Patrocínio.
Amapá had already won four medals in judo (two silver and two bronze) and three in karate (one gold, one silver and one bronze). The Brazilian School Games continue with competitions until November 9th, in Brasília, and Amapá still has a chance of obtaining more medals in individual and collective competitions.
Amapá has a delegation of more than 246 people, including athletes, coaches and support staff. In total, the people from Amapá will be competing in 15 sports. The event is a qualifier for the South American Championships, which will take place in December in Chile.
