Japanese Consul visits CDSA and learns about Amapá’s port potential – News of Brazil

On Friday the 3rd, the mayor of Santana, bullet rock, accompanied by the president of Companhia Docas de Santana (CDSA), Edival Tork, by the State Secretary for International Relations, Lucas Abraham, and State Representative Paulo Nogueira, received a visit from the Consul of Japan Morita Satoshi. They were visiting the CDSA premises and getting to know the port potential of Santana and, consequently, of Amapá.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about the structure of the activities carried out by CDSA and some important aspects about the state, such as the geographic location of Amapá for international markets, a characteristic that can help in the consolidation process in various sectors and import and export products, as well as speed and agility in embarkation/disembarkation, were some characteristics observed and very well evaluated by the consul.
“It is important to publicize and strengthen relations with countries where we may have some type of business in the port sector. We know the potential of our port and the structure of the CDSA, we have prospects for improvements in the coming years and we are certainly a good option in the import/export process. Without a doubt, the visit of the Japanese consul is very positive”said the mayor Bala Rock.
Over the years, CDSA’s activities have grown significantly. Only in the year 2022, the record movement was recorded in soybean and corn exports. Data show that 217 tons of soy and 210,600 tons of corn left the port of Santana. A 154% growth compared to the previous year. The Company’s president, Edival Tork, considered the presence of Morita Satoshi.
“We are receiving the Japanese consul with prospects for new business, both in the chip and ore areas. And I am sure that we will have great news that will enable the development of our municipality and consequently of all of Amapá”assured.
