Janja has lunch with ambassadors to “develop projects”: “powerful women”

First lady Janja Lula da Silva had lunch with ambassadors from 19 countries on Friday (15), with the participation of three government ministers. According to what she published on Instagram, the lunch was organized by the Swedish ambassador, Karin Wallensteen, with the aim of talking about projects and initiatives to “increase the participation of women in spaces of power and decision-making”.

“Occupying decision-making and power spaces is still a challenge for women in our society. That’s why I always feel strengthened and inspired to share moments like today”, said Janja in the post (see here).

The allusion to strengthening and inspiration comes days after the first lady had her account on the social network X invaded by hackers who published sexist and offensive messages. Janja’s account remains blocked while the Federal Police continue their investigations.

In addition to Janja and the ambassadors, ministers Anielle Franco (Racial Equality), Aparecida Gonçalves (Women) and Luciana Santos (Science, Technology and Innovation) participated in the meeting.

“We will continue together in favor of women of all origins, races and social classes and in the development of our countries, without anyone being left behind”, added Janja in the post.

Since last Monday (11), when Janja’s account was hacked, the Federal Police have already served six warrants in search of the perpetrators of the attack in Minas Gerais and the Federal District. A teenager arrested in DF reportedly confessed to being responsible for the invasion.

How was the invasion

On Monday night (11), the first lady’s account on PT), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), among others. Federal Police are conducting an investigation into the incident.

On the same night, the Federal Police began investigating the case and the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) ordered X to freeze the account and delete all content.

Among other statements, the attacker posted a message that said “Super Xandão president of Brazil in 2026” and “Alexandre de Moraes is a criminal and will soon be impeached. Nothing he does will stop us from telling the truth, while I have time I will speak more and more.”

Janja was also tagged in some messages, including in an official statement from the attacker. In response, she stated that she was used to online attacks, describing the episode as an example of the challenges faced by many women daily on the internet.

The first lady lamented the need to get used to such absurd situations, highlighting the duality of the internet as both a positive and negative space.

The hacker published 44 posts during the attack, reaching a significant audience of 1.2 million Janja followers on X. In a shared audio, he expressed awareness of the PF investigation, minimizing any possible liability, criticizing the judicial system and qualifying the country’s laws as weak.
