On the morning of this Friday, the 4th, at the Attorney General’s Office, the now also member of the National Council of the Public Ministry (CNPM), Ivana Cei, gave a press conference to talk about his election and the challenges faced on the journey to office.

Approved by the Federal Senate last Wednesday, the 2nd, the northerner now has her name composing the management of the National Council of the Public Ministry in the 2023/2025 biennium.

With a long history in the area, Ivana became a member of the Public Ministry of Amapá in 1991, after being approved in the institution’s first contest. “Arriving at the National Council is something very long and difficult to access; it’s a very small filter. To arrive as an Amapa woman and be the first woman after 18 years of the installation of the council is a glory for all of us in the state. Of course, this only increases my responsibility”recognized Ivana.

Among other things, the new counselor mentioned the support of the three senators who represent Amapá and who, according to her, were fundamental for the recognition of the dignity of the Public Ministry institution.

After taking office, Ivana intends to work in accordance with its performance in the body of the home state, but now with more breadth, at the national level, in addition to ensuring commitment for Amapá to figure as one of the best public ministries in the country.
