Brasília’s prisons are full of fascists and ignorant people who attacked democracy as soon as the first week of the new government was completed.

It still remains to arrest those most responsible for the insanity that started on December 12, 2022, continued on Christmas Eve and culminated on January 8 of this year: the homunculi, in uniform or not, who encouraged the coup turmoil against the majority of the Brazilian electorate.

Majority that only decreased from the first to the second rounds because the pouring of money to buy votes and the barriers to prevent voters from reaching the polls had the dimension they had.

The swift punishment of those caught in the act will certainly discourage new attacks on institutions, the opposite of what has been happening in stadiums in the country for decades.

Brazil is one of the most violent countries on the planet, and soccer club fans are no exception to the rule.

The greatest stimulus received by them comes from acquaintances.

From the complicity of the top brass who use them to pressure players, and fear them like mice are terrified of cats, to the historical inability of the authorities to fight the minority of criminals.

With which the perfect vicious circle is established.

Prisoners of terror, athletes justify the acts of fans who surround delegation buses as Corinthians did in Santos, or throw rockets on the lawn as seen in Vila Belmiro and São Januário.

Complicity and incompetence come together in a macabre alliance.

Who allows bombs to enter stadiums?

Security officials intimidated by the violent.

Who encourages terrorist acts?

Top hats who directly or indirectly finance them or establish irresponsible dialogue with them.

Who keeps them unpunished?

The authorities and Justice inert and indifferent to barbarism.

There were those who imagined the solution with the providence of the single crowd.

Because there were only Santos fans in Vila Belmiro, as is customary in São Paulo, and almost only Vasco fans in São Januário, because the Goiás crowd was insignificant. And there was what happened.

Stadiums become war squares with the same ease seen in Três Poderes, regardless of whether they receive single fans or not.

The severity of the occurrences is incomparable, the remedy is not.

How many people were arrested in Santos and Rio?

How many hats were punished for omission or partnership?

The rare reader and the rare reader know the answer.

Violence is commonplace in Brazil, and, even if it leads nowhere, as seen in the frustrated coup against the electoral result, it is urgent to end impunity.

Let’s repeat what is known: violent supporters, according to serious research carried out by experts, are no more than 7% of those registered in organized supporters, and all are identified, but few have been punished.

It is just as wrong to generalize the phenomenon as it is to pass the cloth and play ostrich politics.

The problem is serious, old, and has a solution.

From a strictly sporting point of view, sensible Santos and Vasco da Gama fans already know who will be responsible for the eventual relegation of one or the other, or both, at the end of the Brazilian Championship.
