The acting minister of the Institutional Security Office, Ricardo Cappelli, said this Monday (24th) that he will present an “x-ray” of the GSI to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). Cappelli also said that the staff is being renewed.

“There is a determination by the President of the Republic for us to accelerate the renewal of functional staff”, said the minister to journalists. “About 35% of the servers working in the GSI have already been replaced and this is absolutely natural when there is a change of government, it is natural that you change most of the staff, it is part of normality and we are going to speed up this process”, he said. .

The statement was made after a meeting with Minister Alexandre de Moraes. According to Cappelli, the meeting was institutional to provide information. The interim minister of the GSI informed that an inquiry was opened to determine the participation of members of the portfolio in the acts of January 8th. He estimates that the investigation should be completed before May 30, the expected deadline.
