Inter thrashes Ypiranga and assumes the vice-leadership of Gauchão

Inter won another one in the Campeonato Gaúcho. This Thursday (2), the feast of Nossa Senhora de Navegantes, nearly 15,000 people from Colorado went to Beira-Rio to watch the 3-0 defeat of Ypiranga, from Erechim, in the 4th round. The second victory in a row in the competition puts Mano Menezes’ team in second place in the State, with eight points, four behind leader Grêmio.

This Sunday, for the 5th round, Colorado goes to Estádio do Vale to face Novo Hamburgo. Due to the poor condition of the lawn and the short period for physical recovery of the athletes, some players must be preserved and Mano will shoot for the squad. The confrontation with Anilado will be at 20:30.

The victory over the current vice-champion from Rio Grande do Sul began to be built very early. After just five minutes, defender Ronald tried to retreat to Islan, but he delivered the ball to Pedro Henrique’s feet. The new Colorado striker invaded the area, passed goalkeeper Caíque and sent it to the back of the net. The clearest chance to expand came at 17, only this time, the Ypiranga goalkeeper defended Maurício’s submission.

Gradually, Erechim’s team found themselves on the field and began to threaten the home team. At 31 minutes, the best chance left João Pedro’s feet, but Keiller spread it out for a corner. At the end of the first half, at 42 minutes, in yet another defensive failure by Ypiranga, almost the second Colorado goal: Ronaldo retreated to Caíque, who let the ball pass under his foot and the ball went very close to the right crossbar.

The second half started with the visitors commanding the actions. Better on the field, Ypiranga had more exchange of passes, but did not threaten Keiller’s goal. Then, Inter counted Alan Patrick’s differentiated pass to reach the second goal. At 23 minutes, number 10 found Maurício inside the area and number 23 ended up knocked down. Alan Patrick moved the goalkeeper and extended.

Behind the scoreboard, Ypiranga opened up even more and ended up suffering the third. At 37 minutes, Bustos crossed, the ball deflected on Júnior Sergipano and some Inter players asked for a penalty, but the ball was left for Mauricio, who didn’t stop, filled his foot to score the third and define the match.
